Jordan Essentials – Lotion Bar & Make-up Review

One of the reasons why I started Realm of Vibes was to feature women with small businesses. I want to help them grow and prosper. I am a big supporter of MLM businesses; not only because I am a consultant for one, but they allow flexibility and the opportunity to earn and income. This blog post features Jordan Essentials Consultant, Vanessa Janis, who graciously sent me some products to review.

About Jordan Essentials:

  • Made in the USA
  • Made with botanical, natural ingredients
  • Products are free from toxins such as DEA, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Isopropyl Alcohol, Aluminum, Quaternium 15
  • Offers a plethora of bath and body products, face care and anti-aging products, mineral makeup and fragrances.

The products:

  • Lotion Bar
    • It all began with a Lotion Bar! This is a solid bar of lotion with a beeswax base and natural oils to help moisturize. All you should do is rub the bar on the areas that need help (hands, elbows, feet) and go! There are 8 varieties to choose from at the time of this post (Oatmeal & Honey, Guavaberry & Gogi, Coconut Lime, Sea Spa, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Lavender and Eucalyptus, Bergamot and Sandalwood, Naturally Unscented).
    • Price: $9 USD for 1.5 ounces, comes in a tin for easy portability
    • My thoughts: I love this Lotion Bar! I am now an occupational therapist doing homecare so I am constantly using hand sanitizer and washing my hands. I keep this in my bag to moisturize because my hands are getting dry and cracked. The portability factor is awesome. The tin won’t get crushed. The Oatmeal & Honey variety has a nice scent that isn’t overbearing. It reminds me of the hand salve my dad used to use when we were a kid. It does feel a little waxy, but my hands are so dry it absorbs within a few minutes. I would absolutely purchase the Jordan Essentials Lotion Bar.

  • Tinted Moisturizer
    • This moisturizer is double duty, providing color and coverage with minerals offering natural SPF coverage.
    • Levels 1 (Light) through 6 (Deep) – to cover a variety of skin tones.
    • Price: $20 USD for 2 fluid ounces
    • My thoughts: I am picky with moisturizers. I usually apply a makeup primer, then a face cream or serum, then my foundation. I typically don’t use tinted moisturizers. I applied my makeup primer, then applied the tinted moisturizer with a brush. One word: thick. I really have to blend this into my face, but the final result has my face looking even and smooth. It doesn’t feel too heavy, either. The #3 (Light) was perfect for my skin tone. It’s not too light, and not to dark. It gives me a natural look.
  • Powder
    • I usually use a liquid foundation, but have a few powders from my monthly makeup subscription bag. The Jordan Essentials mineral powder claims to be natural and weightless, while providing coverage.
    • Levels 1 (Light) through 6 (Deep) – to cover a variety of skin tones.
    • Price: $20 USD for 8 grams
    • My thoughts: I took another make-up brush and lightly dusted my face with the powder. My husband hates when I wear a full face of makeup, so this is perfect because it goes nicely over the tinted moisturizer, gives me a little glimmer, and is weightless. I am happy with the result!

I really liked enjoyed using the Jordan Essentials products. The Lotion Bar is my everyday companion, and the make-up makes me look naturally beautiful. I am happy that Jordan Essentials is cruelty free, doesn’t have harmful toxins, and is made in the USA.
